Following a major period of investment in this area over the past two years, our card manufacturing premises are custom built and are equipped with the very latest in card personalisation technology. This includes Atlantic Zeiser DOD UV inkjet systems with personalisation in both black and white ink – the very first installation for white Drop-on-Demand (DoD) inkjet technology in Europe.
Card embossing with encoding is fulfilled by industry standard Datacard systems which provide bank quality card personalisation in both OCR B and simplex characters.
Flat thermal card personalisation is supported by a bank of NBS S18 Imagemasters in addition to high-speed thermal printing and encoding.
Mifare chip encoding modules are run in-line with thermal card printers, providing a dedicated and secure infrastructure from which to issue contactless smart cards.
We offer a comprehensive match and mailing service for your card scheme, with Kirk Rudy match-mounting lines in changeable configurations (including in-line plough folding). Both Lake Image and Kirk Rudy camera matching systems are used, ensuring 100 per cent accuracy – giving you the assurance you need. Automatic insertion into either DL or C5 envelope completes the personalisation cycle with additional inserts where required.

Our highly experienced dedicated artwork team is permanently on hand to provide expert advice for even the most complicated of jobs.
All artwork is proofed prior to print production, giving peace of mind that the end product will meet expectations. We offer our clients a choice of proofs – pdf document for speed; a calibrated pre-press wet proof; a plastic wet proof or a fully finished card. Our waterless card production process allows finer detail to be reproduced compared to standard litho. This is due to much reduced dot gain in the printing technology.

The bioPVC material is designed to decompose in less than three years, a considerable improvement on the conventional 300-1000 year cycle for PVC. Our waterless print process significantly reduces emissions or harmful compounds released into the atmosphere. Our manufacturing teams have invested over £2 million in developing more sustainable print services in the last two years and are committed to converting 50% of our business to bio within five years.
Although there are a number of biodegradable cards available, none combine the bio materials and responsible processes which we use in our manufacturing. The cards perform equally to conventional cards but have been certified fully biodegradable and achieved ISO14001 and ISO9001 accreditation.
